  • From where his strength comes?

    The unseen power of love gave so much strength to my father’s will to survive in his current sickness. He is having hard time breathing because haft of his lungs had been damage and now suffering with emphysema. He almost gave up because of pain and being tired, but with love and support knowing that all the love ones is there fore him, he never give up and lose hope. He’s will to survive is greater when he can feel the love from us.

    I have my deepest appreciation to your kindest heart and for the help we received from everyone is very well acknowledge. My fathers’ life is almost taken away but with the love and care that we show to him, he managed to recover his breath back. He always pray and thank God for his life extensions.

    Now our hospital bills is over 178,000.00 200,000.00 Pesos and we cannot gather that amount on time. I am looking to whom that I can borrow money in any amount and arrange when I can return it back.

    PS: Thank for all the help and we manage to pay all the bills.

    Thank you for those who can give some amount that can patch out the expenses in our hospital bill. Other than hospital bill, we also need to buy medical supplies and medicine that is over 1,000 pesos per day.

    As for my father continues recovery, we can continue his medication at home and get away from expensive but worthy hospital bill. I would like to say many thanks for the immediate care and aid from the staff nurse and doctors.

    PS: My father pass away around 6am, Jan 12, 2014.

  • Why I Love To Hike

    Never lose the kids in you! I have feelings from my childhood that someday I will climb up  and hike many mountains. I felt it when I tried to climb up the hills on our place that we called “Kastilyong Buhangin.” It is the boundary of barangay Olo-olo and Barangay Sawang at Lobo, Batangas. Alfie Alegre and Marlon Robilios were the first people I had been with on my first hiking adventure. Going up and down is challenging and the experience at the top is rewarding.

    The Hike Rewards

    The fresh air is very abundant all over the place and it is very good to improve health. Socializing and having new friends on the trail is good opportunity to learn and to expand your network. The feeling of being successful when you reach the summit is a good psychological practice. Hiking can give the feeling of success overnight or a day hike. And basically the views from the top create different sets of emotion and feeling. Focus on happy thoughts and it feels it with you.

    My Hike Attire

    I am wearing rugged attire on Mt. Tagapo and Mt. Pico De Loro. I want to wear complete gear before Mt. Pico climb but I did not find time to buy. Please enjoy what I have. For sure I will enjoy it more when I have proper hiking attire. Sling bag, fitted jeans, t-shirt, jacket and sandals.

    Awesome Tour Guide and Porter.

    Following the footsteps of the successful people is the best way to achieved success. You can hire them if no one in your team knows how to get there. Having porter to carry your things is nice but I haven’t tried it before.

    Food and Drinks

    One of the best things to enjoy is food at the campsite and drinking along the way. 2 Two litters of water and lunch pack are good for a day hike.

    The fun and safety

    Never never never lose the kids in you! Always be careful and be observant because not all steps will be good for you. It is fun when get there at the top and keep safe to enjoy more.

    Not so very expensive adventure

    Compare with having diner in fine dine in or movie date, hiking usually requires a registrations fee that is most likely around twenty to one hundred pesos (20-100). The rest is how you prepare things, food and transportation fare.

    Why I love to hike?

    This is how I forget the rest of the world and enjoy my life at the moment.

  • The 100 Peso Bill with Iglesia Ni Cristo Centennial Logo

    Bangko Central ng Philipinas recognize the INC centennial celebration this coming July 27, 2014. The 100 peso bill is printed with INC centennial logo. I got the privileges to exchange 10000 Pesos. Half of the amount is request by Dennis.

    I want this money to keep as souvenirs and gifts for the New Year beginning but later I decide to set it aside for Thanksgiving Day.

    I it is very special bank note for INC members especially for me that’s why wanted to have it in my possession. It will be more useful to use in thanksgiving day rather than keeping. A simple photo of me while holding the bill is enough for me.

  • Year End Thanksgiving to God 2013

    Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for all the trust and respect that I gain this year. Having more connections with great people is such a wonderful blessing. They become the channel of my blessing. Thank you God for letting them be part of this year journey. Though I was been in many struggle, God provide me the wisdom to manage and handle it. And now the year is about to end I love to give few details and significant things that I want to give thanks.

    The first quarter of this year was a decision making. Going back to Singapore with unexpected timing wasn’t really a plan because I want to continue my study in school. that is the shift and twist of an event.

    This is the peak of my financial blessing compare to the past five years. Even if I haven’t much savings I had a change to buy foods that I wanted to eat.

    I am physically fit to do extensive exercise so I still have the opportunity to reduce my weight if I need to. I’m sorry for my self for stretching my work capacity and ability to meet deadline be glad that you deserved a good rest soon. Thank you Good for giving me strength to accomplished my task and job well done.

    It is good to see that my family being together although each of us has some shortcoming, we can still manage to understand each other and forgive Thank you God for being part of this family. There is so much to be thankful if  only I can make them to be member in the Church Of Christ, let me do my part to share my faith and help me bring them with me together and worship You.

    I hope I can mention all the names of the people that I meet this year. I want to give thanks for all the time we’ve been shared together. Dear God, thank you so much for making that day happy.

    Thank you for the weather, from the best time to celebrate and the worst thing to remember. We experienced so many calamities and economic struggle. Thank you for making us stand and continue to do move on. Having you on our side is so much appreciated, thank you for protecting us.

    Thank you for helping me to suppress my emotion, the certain feelings that I don’t need to get out. I know that it is best to keep unspoken or not to act. Thank you for I can still feel your spirit for sometime being disobedient. Thank you for helping me turn back on your side.

    Will all my heart I thank You God for making me prepared to the new challenge after this year end.

  • The Best Method I Use To Hide WordPress Toolbar

    I don’t want to appear WordPress toolbar or wp toobar on the front-end since it has nothing to do with the registered user. It will appear by default once the user has been registered.

    Other method is using WordPress hook to place on header or footer to override the style sheet to make the portion disappear.

    You can disable the toolbar on editing your user profile. Unchecked the Toolbar with description “Show Toolbar when viewing site”

    If you have a large number of user and you want to disable the toolbar all at once then you can use the same method that I use.

    Disable wp toolbar

    Place it on the function.php of your wordpress theme.

    From the wordpress admin dashboard go to; Appearance > Editor

    Form the right side select the Theme Function or functions.php

    Insert or paste the code and click Update File.

  • My 7th years of being member of the Church of Christ.

    I was baptized as a member of Church Of Christ on November 25, 2006 at Central Temple. I was accompanied by my friend Star and Gilbert Ramos. They become the God’s instrument to make that blessed day fulfilled. The lovely couple help me to process my registration for INC doctrines and support me all the way up to the day of my membership.

    I always remember this grateful day. I really feel as one of the chosen. In the near thanksgiving, I will give emphasis on giving thanks how lucky I am to become one of the chosen.

    Today I will celebrate with joy and reach out my friend. I hope that they are available to be here with me. Most of them are now overseas and too busy with their works.

    Back then, I was thinking who lead me here and there, who drives my fate and gave this faith that I am holding. All I did was to follow my heart and that is how it begins.

    By the teaching from the holly scriptures, I will protect my membership and strengthen the seeds of faith in me until the end.

    I don’t have time or plan to gather people here to celebrate. I only have my happy thoughts to share how grateful I am today as it is my 7th years of being a member of Church Of Christ.

    We are stronger than Yolanda

    I don’t care about your struggle;
    Waste of time for me to tackle.
    My own problem isn’t yet solved
    So why should I must get involved

    But

    I cannot hide my love and worries,
    My heart tore apart with sorry.
    I truly want to understand
    How hard it is for you to stand.

    My sympathy grows for my land
    And now I want to stretch my hand
    I set aside my own problem
    To share my strength and time for them.

    I can imagine how the wind broke the embrace of your wife and child
    I can’t tell how much suffering you can bear when storm took them

    How hard it is to start again?
    What strength is need to rise from pain?
    I step forward with my passion,
    I want to help and make them strong.

    I know people are stronger
    When together for each other.
    We can stand even it is harder
    Because all of us is gather.

    About We are stronger than Yolanda

    This poem is my tribute to the victims of the strongest typhoon Yolanda “Haiyan” recorded in the history. Yolanda hit central area of Philippines. Many lives lost and destroyed the livelihood of the people.

    I really don’t care much as I expected that the storm is not that destructive. But then what happen is different from what I am expecting. My sympathy get stronger and touched my heart to offer my help.

    I will help in re-packing goods and contribute some donation tonight at the INC relief goods station in Tandang Sora. Thank you Jennie Genita for inviting me to help. I felt like it is only the first time meeting you but actually it is the second time arround.

    It was a good experience to participate and help this kind of mission or activity. I donate 12 packs of pancit canton too and gave over 3 hours for preparing the plastic back ready to get filled with goods.

  • DHCP Server IP Addressing on Device and Printers.

    When you are using DHCP to manage the IP address of your devices, then the settings of the devices must be on DHCP and not on Static IP.

    DHCP is use to manage all IP address under its network. On the DHCP Server Settings you can assign or reserved IP Address on specific devices and constantly leases only for that machine address. It is the same goal with Static IP address to maintain its address without changing.

    Network printers must have fixed IP Address and to achieve that, we usually make the network configuration of the printer in Static IP. All computers on the network can easily connect and remember the IP address of the printer.

    I chose to set my printer on Dynamic IP address and let the DCHP Server leases the reserved IP on that printer constantly. This is likely same as having Static IP on that devices but this time it is being manage by DHCP server.

    What is the advantage of setting your printer to be managed by DHCP?

    DHCP is always the default network settings of the printer and it is easy as plug and play. It can easily join the network when you plug the cable or connect with the wifi.

    Setting Static IP requires you to encode it manually in the setting and you have to know all the network details. It is not very efficient if you are setting on many devices. In a worst case you have to press the button to set it manually and cannot be done remotely. I am here in Philippines and I need to be in Singapore to set all the preferences. I don’t have to do that if it is auto configure by DHCP.

    DHCP server cannot assigning dynamic IP to the device it the setting on the devices is set to static. It is important that the devices network configuration is set to DHCP.

    There should be no problem in adding network printer with Dynamic IP address because the DHCP server is leasing reserved IP address for them.

    You don’t need to configure all devices one by one to assign IP Address. Let the DHCP Server do all this work because it is built and design for that task.

    How to Enable Manual Assignment or Reserve Dynamic IP address on Asus AC66U Router?

    Log in to your router admin and go to LAN Settings

    On DCHP Servers, you can see bellow Enable Manual Assignment and select Yes.

    Add the Mac Address of the devices and put the IP address that you want to assign for them.

    Save or apply the settings and  reboot the devices to refresh and get its new IP address.
