  • HTML5 Is My New Baby

    WordStar

    What is about HTML5? Back when I was using WordStar for DOS. WordStar give me the idea how code tags works. WordStar was the first text editing software I used to print my documents. That text editor helps me to understand Hyper Text Markup Language quickly.

    I learn the basic html at the age of 16 and then I knew to myself that I love it. My first website is uploaded on GeoCities and the others from homestead. I can’t ignore that there is always something new to learn. Now that all major browsers are supporting it, I will definitely place my attention to play with the codes and start to use it.

    The code is more descriptive and very structure oriented. It will be easier to learn than previous version of html. HTML5 will surely help the loading speed and more search engine friendly because of the simplified codes.

    Why should I study HTML5?

    I will consider HTML5 even if old browser can’t display it properly. I know that people are more willing to upgrade their browser soon because they don’t want to miss the excitement.

    What did you learn?

    • WordStar is a rich text editor that use code tag to format the text. It runs on DOS floppy disk drive.
    • Geocites hosting is very popular free hosting in the 90’s as well as Homestead.
    • Old browser does not support HTML5.

  • Double Major Degree And Masters Programmes

    Having good grades is wonderful but having double major degree is awesome. Kaplan in Singapore in Singapore made this possible for students. People love to deal with buy one take one but I think it is the first time to have a double major degree.

  • We can be anything

    Before we become something that we want, we have to create it first in our mind and we can do that by thinking. We can be anything. Our mind can create the idea into reality and it become possible depending on your capacity and how you truly believe.

    You cannot be anything if you never tried the things you must do. Good education starts when you study hard. Practice makes it perfect. I never heard human baby’s walked after birth we always start by thinking and trying.

    I like “We can be anything” campaign and the video perform with the lead singer Allan Pineda.

    This movement is to encourage everyone that there is something we can do to make a difference, to change and to improve our life.

    We can be anything.

    There are many people who become famous and successful. They become the person of their dreams. We are aspiring to become what we want to be. Thanks for the successful person who share their blue print on how they get their goals. What I mean is you don’t have to invent your success when you can copy and improve how that successful person did it. Their advice are good information and their biography can be your inspirations. We can learn from their experienced that we don’t have yet.

    When the teacher in the classroom asked the students the answer for one plus one (1+1=?). You can raise your hand to answer that because you strongly believe that you know the answer is one. Same things in life! When you believe that you can get a good grade you will study hard and when you know you can do it, we take action.

    What did you learn?

    • Nothings happen if you don’t try to take action.
    • We can learn from other experience.
    • You will be move by your believe.

    You can make a difference

    • All people can be anything but only few understand how. You can take action while others are still dreaming.
    • We have to think, apply what we learn and try again.

  • Father and Daughter along with the Carabao

    After the busy days of work in the farm, the father and her daughter are going home before dark. They are traveling with their carabao along the way and they have to pass four towns before they arrive home.

    On the first town, the bystanders noticed and said “that father and daughter are fool, they have the carabao to ride in but they are not.” The father heard what they are talking and so he asked his daughter to ride at the back of carabao.

    On the second town, the bystanders noticed again and said “Look at his daughter, she knows that her father is tired working all day. I wish she consider her father to rest somehow.” The daughter heard what they are talking and so she asked her father to ride with her at the back of the carabao.

    On the third town, they are both smiling and never expect to hear some talks about them. But the bystanders noticed them again and said “How poor the carabao is abuse that way. It had worked all day and that stupid farmers are still ridding.” They heard them both and plan what to do before heading to the next town.

    Guest what happen? It’s a big laughing out loud. The father and daughter carry the carabao on their shoulder. The mother said when they see them “You two are failure if you keep listening to those negative people. You don’t have to deal with them and leave them along the way.”

    What did you learn?

    • Focus on your good start.
    • Don’t let other people drives you what to do.
    • Don’t deal with negative people, avoid them.
    • You will experience obstacle but as long as you keep moving you will reach your destination.

    Learning to Play Golf at Orchid Country Club Driving Range

    I never expect myself playing golf and I don’t plan to do it. But then I experienced it and it was fun. I was invited by Lutchie to play golf with her at Orchid Country Club. She borrowed the set club from her friend Nick and bag is heavy. That time I realized that who would carry that bag if I wasn’t there.

    We play on Driving Range that is known as one of the biggest driving range in South East Asia for having 160-bay. I like the automatic tee-up system activated with a smart card. The ball is automatically loading on the tee when the sensor senses it’s gone. It’s said to be the only auto-tee system in Singapore.

    I thought it was easy. Yes it is not easy for the first timer like me. When I strike the ball, I miss many times. Then I observe other how they do it. Lutchie is coaching me how and I learn from what she told me. You have to be focus and precise motion to hit the ball. You have to learn the perfect swing. When I am striking the ball hard, I miss the shot many times and hit it when I strike slowly. If you want to learn the perfect swing you have to start hitting the ball slowly and develop your motion skills. When you got the skill you can add more power to your shot.

    At the end of the video, you can see how I improved my skills after watching and observing my coach Lutchie.

    What did you learn?

    • Orchid Country Club has the biggest golf driving ranges in South East Asia and the only auto tee-up system in Singapore.
    • It is easier to learn when you have a coach.
    • Skills can be develop and enhance.
    • You don’t have to be rich to play golf.

  • What it is for me in Singapore?

    I am here at Sembawang Singapore while looking outside the window from the 10th floor and thinking why I am here. I have good and decent job in Makati where I am living nicely and do whatever I want to do. But I can’t buy whatever I want to buy. It is the reality; you have to be contented to all what you have to suppress the things that you want and be happy.

    I had planned to visit Singapore but not as quickly as I thought. I was invited to come over my friends place and agreed instantly. Somehow I am thinking of how I am going to fulfill my responsibility being out of the office and being supportive with my special friend. It will be a long distance art of living.

    I have to do my office work in Makati while I am here until I totally turnover my job to someone who is qualified. My online businesses never stop here and maybe my venture here will contribute good things.

    Now I am looking for a good I.T. jobs in Singapore. Where can I find it and I hope to be the one that they are looking for. I wish to be independent businessman but I want to try any other job in sales and marketing. Building more connections and look for a team and organization is good to achieved too while I am here.

    I want to leave my worries and manage my responsibility of my work in Makati. At the same time I will be looking for a new job here Singapore.

    I will never forget to say thank to the people who understand why I am here (my Family and friends) and to the kind hospitality of Lutchie Danao. I won’t be here without Lutchie’s supports. Thank You.

  • You Don’t Deserve My Tears

    My heart is no longer mine when I gave it to you. And it is always with you that’s why it hurts so much when you are being dishonest to me and the truth that you are lying to yourself. You can say you love me but you cannot express it. When you don’t let others know about our relationship, it looks like that you are not proud of me in front of them. It is very confusing why it is hard for you to tell something about us. I love you and I will always forgive you, I will understand you but! You don’t deserve my tears anymore…

    But we are only friends after all.

    I had loved you more to cover up the pain until I can’t hold my breath much longer. I said I love you forever but that time my life is already over.

    It is beyond my doubt and have convince myself to embrace and accept every reason you said. You may not perfectly the kind of girl I wanted, but here I am accepted you from the start willing and waiting for you to grow up.

    And after all the things you’ve done, I cried so many times. My eyes are crying, my brain is freezing, my heart is burning, and I don’t know where I am. I just see myself crying and shaking. Thank you for all the memories of love and joy we’ve shared. Thank you for I had the best you ever become and those happy moments we’ve been through.

    I can be happy loving you, but if you turn away from me, I will tell you again that I will never have to cry because you don’t deserve my tears.

    And we were only friends after all.

  • Accept And Forgive

    when-everything-is-over
    I walked from afar to reach you
    Fall on my knees and beg you
    Wave goodbye and crash out our heart
    Make time and distance be apart.

    Soon we will cross again
    hope to accept me for who I am.
    Let us throw away the pain
    From depth of mountains rest

    Smile and start singing
    rejoice for our new beginning
